Dom

The Dresden Dom. It was rebuilt in this century after WWII. For decades the rubble just lay in a pile in the street and there was nothing around it. It was mostly rebuilt with private donations too. The guide said it cost 1.8 million euro to rebuild and 1 million of that came from private donors. You can see the original pieces because they are black, and the rest is creamy. The new pieces will darken with time.
