This is on one of the Aran Islands off the coast of Galway. This is where Aran sweaters originated. I'm going to get one tomorrow I hope! We could have used one today. It was so wet and rainy when we got off the ferry that we hired a horse drawn carriage to take us up to the ruins. It was the best thing we have done so far. Even Patrick thought so and he hates "old walls" as he calls them. No sense of history, that man.
